As Leafbare gives way to newleaf, the Clan cats find themselves disappointed that their territories are muddy and cold, with snowy evenings being far too common for the time of year. DawnClan beat ThistleClan in the fight for territory, but is that the end of the tension?

Member OTM

Our fourth Member of the Month is a well known and active member since the early days of Ataxia. Lionhearted has an impressive collection of characters and is always ready to plot with other members, old and new. Lion’s replies are incredibly enjoyable to read and talking with her in the chat is always an enjoyable experience. Some distinguishable characters of hers are Thistleclan’s hard working medicine cat, Tawnyheart and Rippleclan’s determined apprentice Asterpaw.

For a second month in a row, our male character is played by Lion: Snakepad! This Dawnclan tom is a dutiful and well-mannered warrior who’s struggled to find his own path all his life. That is, until he saved his adopted son Sorrelkit from a vicious fox. Now he spends his time learning how to be a good parent, all the while discovering more about himself every day. One question lingers in his mind, however; will he become the cat his father always wanted him to be or will he find his own way?

Tornface, played by Lunaticfurball, is an unbelievaly strong girl who tries not to let her past define her. Raised by a harsh father and attacked by dogs, leaving numerous scars adorning her pelt, Tornface left her home Clan and roamed the wilderness for moons - alone - until one day Applestar stumbled across her. Faced with the opportunity to start over in a new Clan, will Tornface be able to heal the scars in her heart, or will she continue to feel alone?

Rowanstar and Rainfang are Stormy and Wild’s set of royal Dawnclan brothers. These two have been at odds all their lives; each set to compete against the other since birth. Rainfang was up for the crown but an incident with a badger left him incapable of leading and the position of leader was passed to Rowanstar. Despite the sudden change in position Rowanstar has shown a natural knack for making decisions that best suit his clan. Now after many moons of Rowanstar’s successful rule Rainfang has expressed an unusual interest in his brother’s life. Is this all to make amends, or is there more to his actions than meets the eye?

In this thread, Snakepad happens across a frightened kit locked in the clutches of a rather hungry looking fox. Without a moment's hesitation the warrior flies into action, fighting the beast off and saving the tom kit. With no family in site Snakepad names the tom kit Sorrelkit and escorts him to a safe hideaway, too worried over Dawnclan’s reaction of the kit’s presence to bring him back to the clan just yet. After finding a tree hollow to hid in Sorrelkit asks Snakepad if the warrior will be his father and the bond between father and son begins.
