Marius nodded at her response, glad that the kitten didn't lash out at him for taking too long explaining. He was just trying to help her, and all the information he told her was important, at least to him. "Hmm, it's not likely that you'll be able to perfect it in a day, but you'll at least know the basics. Practicing will be important so that you can improve, and also so you won't forget. Not every cat will be perfect at hunting, so try not to get too frustrated if you don't get it at first." Once again, he found himself rambling. So maybe he wasn't the best teacher, that was fine. It wasn't like Seraphina's life depended on his teaching. She had a supply of food, so if his teaching was too hard to understand, the worst that could happen was her getting mad at him. And that had already happened a lot in their short time of knowing each other. He decided to ignore the part about her blaming him. That was fine, he didn't really have any reason to care much. It wasn't likely that they'd run into each other that often, anyways.
"Ah, wait just a moment. It'll be helpful to actually learn how to catch them before we get to finding one. Here, watch me carefully." He got into his hunter's crouch, though he noted that it felt strange since it had been so long since he had any reason to use it. He sure hoped that he was doing it correctly so that the kitten wouldn't learn how to do it wrong. "This is called a hunter's crouch. When you spot the prey that you are hunting, you get into a crouch so that the prey will have a harder time spotting you. It also allows you to move quietly so the prey won't hear you coming," He explained, making sure she had enough time to examine him before he stood up, looking at her expectantly now. "You give it a try. It's okay if you make some mistakes, I'll try my best to correct them." This was his first time ever trying to teach anyone how to hunt and he hoped that he was being clear enough. He tried to make his explanations brief enough to not confuse or bore the kitten, but he wasn't sure if that was working out. "I'm a little too far from home to know much about this area, sorry," He admitted at her question. It wasn't rare for him to take walks in other neighborhoods, and this was the first time he had made his way through this area.
